Welcome to John Hampden Surgery
We are confident that our website will provide clear and concise help and give our patients the information they require in an easy and convenient format. It has been designed with the patient’s needs at the forefront of everything, from checking surgery times to letting us know what you think of us.

Our dedicated team are here to treat those minor ailments that occur as well as providing specialist management of long-term conditions and clinics covering a wide range of healthcare issues. The technology also means you can now do a lot of things from the comfort of your home such as order a repeat prescription or cancel an appointment.
Partners in Care
Once registered, patients and healthcare professionals work together to ensure the most appropriate care is provided. This partnership philosophy extends even further and our active patient group exists to make sure that patient needs and the practice offering are always heading in the same direction.
There is a public car park nearby and our main entrance is designed for easy access by those who are disabled. There is also access to a disabled toilet.
We are pleased to announce that following an inspection carried out on the 27th of January 2016 by The Care Quality Commission we have been awarded an overall Outstanding status.
Please follow the link below for a summary of the inspection carried out and the opportunity to read our full report.

Vote for dignity - RESULTS
Over recent weeks we have been asking our patients to support Dr Sian Roberts and Deirdre Watkins with their nomination in the Buckinghamshire County Council Dignity and Respect Awards.
We are delighted to announce that Dr Roberts and Deirdre were awarded runners up at the event held in Aylesbury on Friday the 15th of April 2016.
We would like to extend our thanks to everyone who took the time to vote and support the nomination. We are all pleased with the recognition and overall result. We also would like to take the opportunity to pass our congratulations onto the Westongrove team who were awarded first place on the day.
This new achievement has continued our successes early in 2016 and we are pleased to share this accomplishment with our patients.
The John Hampden Team!
Please be aware that appointments with the GP are 10 minutes in length. If you feel you may require a longer appointment please make the receptionist aware at booking.
During the month of April we have had in total 5 hours and 20 minutes of appointments which have not been attended!
- GP appointments - 2 hours and 30 minutes (This equates to 15 face to face appointments)
- Nurse appointments - 2 hours and 50 minutes
At a time where the demand for appointments is extremely high it is imperative if you cannot attend you appointment please notify the surgery at your earliest convenience to ensure these appointments can be offered to patients who may need them.
Due to an increase in the number of wasted appointments through patients failing to attend appointments without informing the surgery, it has become necessary to implement a strict Did Not Attend Policy. If you repeatedly fail to attend appointments you may be removed from this practice list and required to find an alternative doctor. If you cannot attend your appointments for any reason please let us know as soon as possible, giving at least 24 hours' notice. We can then offer the appointment to someone else.
